World Mental Health Day 2020: Here it is some suggestion given by MOHFW

World Mental Health Day celebrated across the world today on Saturday 10th October 2020. On this day Ministry of Health And Family Welfare Government of India suggested some tips to ensure good mental health of elderly during COVID-19. Check suggestions which shared by MOHFW India through My Gov India twitter handle.

Spend Quality time with family & get involved in family discussions. Also, involve in daily activities like gardening, cleaning & cooking to help reduce anxiety. Also, spend time on recreational activities such as board games, music, reading etc.

Connect to loved ones through phone calls/ video calls to keep the stress at bay, Make sometime for exercise, yoga to boost physical & mental health. Cut Down on listening to news; Seek information from credible sources like the health ministry website

Listen to their concerns & try answering their queries; spend quality time with them, Keep them in contact with the their friends & loved ones through phone/ video calls. Also, make them understand that things will be better if we take proper care.

Give them correct information about what is happening around the world, Engage them indoor activities; encourage them to pick up a hobby. Make a routine learning at home by giving them small assignments.
