PM Modi Launches Physical Distribution of Property Cards under SWAMITVA Scheme. The main aim of the SWAMITVA Yojana is Transforming Rural India, Empowering Millions and Digitalization Land Records, Empowering Rural India . Take a look at the road map of the scheme i.e 6.2 lakh villages covered in four years (April 2020- March 2024). Also, create accurate land, reduce property related disputes and increase liquidity of land parcels.
Also under the scheme streamline planning & revenue collection and ensure clarity on property rights in rural areas. To establish nearly 300 continuously operating reference station (CORS) across the country and land parcels in rural inhabited areas are mapped using drone technology & CORS.
The scheme will enable creation of better-quality gram panchayat development plans (GPDPs). Also, Property records of about 1 Lakh villages in Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka surveyed during 2020-21.
Also nearly 1 lakh property owners in 763 villages of the 6 states received property cards. Will enable sourcing loans from financial institutions and determination of property tax.
under this scheme Records of Rights accorded to villages landowners through insurance of property cards. Being implemented across the country in a phased manner over 4 years (2020-2024) to cover approx. 6.62 lakh villages.
Also through this scheme nearly 1 lakh property holders from following 763 villages can now download their property cards (Physical Copies)
