MOHFW India released SOPs on preventive measures during festivities. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India released SOPs no festive events allowed in containment zones. Here it is the administrative requirements i.e Identify spatial boundaries & prepare detailed site plan to facilitate compliance with thermal screening physical distancing, sanitization etc.
Also, In case of events that run for days/ weeks, crowds to be regulated according to peak hours/ days to ensure physical distancing & frequent sanitization. The distance & number of people in rallies & immersion processions to be kept within prescribed limits ensuring physical distancing & wearing of masks.
Events such as as rallies & processions spread over long distances may require support of ambulance services. Events planned to last for many days/ weeks/ such as exhibitions, ramlila pandals etc to have adequate measure to ensure a cap on physical numbers.
Also, volunteers should be appropriately stationed to ensure thermal scanning, physicals distancing & wearing of masks. Guidelines issued for theatre & cinema artists will apply to stage performers. Adequate supply of sanitizers, thermal guns & physical distancing floor markings to be ensured
Also, pre-identification of space/site in each event venue for isolation of suspect cases. Close circuit cameras etc. to be considered to monitor compliance of physical distance norms wearing of masks. Rallies & Processions to outline measurers for enforcement & plan routes beforehand, identify immersion sites, ensure cap on numbers etc.
