Cyclone Mocha is expected to make landfall today.

According to the most recent bulletin of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), the peripheral influence of Cyclone Mocha has started over the coastal regions of Chattorgram and Barishal divisions, according to the Dhaka Tribune.

Cyclone Mocha is headed towards the coasts of Bangladesh and Myanmar, with gusts of high to 210 km/h, according to BMD. According to the advice, the extremely powerful cyclonic storm was positioned at midnight around 490 kilometers south-southwest of Chattogram port, 410 kilometers south-southwest of Cox’s Bazar port, 530 kilometers south of Mongla port, and 460 kilometers south of Payra port.

According to BMD, it is expected to strengthen more today (May 14), proceed north-northwesterly, and reach the Cox’s Bazar-North Myanmar coast between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
