The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an Orange rain warning for Telangana on Wednesday, meaning that heavy rain is likely over the next two days. “At this time, the weather situation indicates that there is an upper air cyclonic circulation laying over Odisha and its neighboring areas of Northwest Bay of Bengal and West Central Bay, extending up to 7.6 kilometers above mean sea level,” K Nagaratnam, Director of Hyderabad Meteorological Centre, said on Wednesday.
“Over the same area, it is anticipated to intensify over the course of the following 24 hours into a low-pressure system. Additionally, up to 1.5 kilometers above mean sea level, cyclonic circulation covers Chhattisgarh and its surrounding regions, the meteorologist continued. According to Nagaratnam, the East-West wind shear also reaches about 120 degrees north latitude. Telangana is projected to have extensive rainfall over the course of the next two days due to the effect of these synoptic elements.
