Tokyo Olympics 2020 will be held from 23rd July 2021

New Dates for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 confirmed. The International Olympic Committee (IOC), International Paralympic Committee (IPC), The Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee, Tokyo Metropolitan Government And The Government Of Japan today (30th March 2020) agreed new dates for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad, In 2021. The Tokyo Olympics 2020 will be held from 23rd July 2021

The Olympics 2020 ends on August 8, 2021. Also, The Paralympic Games will be held from August 24th August to 5th September 2021. Due to pandemic Covid-19, these Tokyo Olympics 2020 postponed to next year. This decision was taken based on the three main considerations and in lines with the principles established by The IOC Executive Board on 17-03-2020 & Confirmed at it’s meeting today.

Tokyo Olympics 2020 Begins From 23rd July 2021

Due to pandemic Covid-19 IOC postponed this year’s Tokyo Olympics. Across the Globe, Covid-19 increased regularly. To protect the health of the athletes and everyone involved, and to support the containment of the Covid-19 virus, To safeguard the interests of the athletes and of the Olympic sport these new dates are announced.

2020 Olympics Opening Ceremony Date

Tokyo Olympics 2020 Opening Ceremony SET For July 23rd, 2021. The Indian Olympic Association along with the National Sports Federations welcome and support the new dates for the Tokyo 2020 games which will be held from 23rd July to 8 August 2021 says Rajeev Mehta, Secretary-General, Indian Olympic Association.
