Rinku Singh is called up to the India A squad and is rewarded for his consistent performances.

Rinku Singh, a batter, was named to the India ‘A’ team by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday. The second four-day encounter between India and England Lions will take place in Ahmedabad on January 24. The England Lions are currently in India on their third unofficial Test tour. “The Men’s Selection Committee has added Rinku Singh to India ‘A’ squad for the second four-day match against England Lions to be played in Ahmedabad from 24th January,” according to an official release from the BCCI.

For the multi-day contests, Abhimanyu Easwaran, a standout in domestic cricket, will captain the India ‘A’ team. Prior to the third match, which began on February 1, Rinku was added. With the aid of seven hundreds and twenty half-centuries, the 26-year-old has scored 3109 runs at an average of 57.57 in 44 first-class matches.

India ‘A’ squad for the 2nd multi-day match: Abhimanyu Easwaran (Captain), Sai Sudharsan, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Tilak Varma, Kumar Kushagra, Washington Sundar, Sourabh Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Tushar Deshpande, Vidwath Kaverappa, Upendra Yadav, Akash Deep, Yash Dayal and Rinku Singh.
