The Xiaomi Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+, which were introduced in March, will launch on May 19 in India. This information was provided by Redmi, who posted a teaser on Twitter announcing the Redmi A2 series’ debut in India on Friday at 11AM local time.
The manufacturer hasn’t officially named the Redmi A2 or A2+, but the use of the phrase “series” and the image of the Redmi A2+ in the marketing page on Xiaomi India’s official website implies the Redmi A2 and A2+ will be available in India next week.
The Redmi A2+ and Redmi A2 are similar phones with the exception of the latter’s fingerprint sensor, which is located on the back. Both smartphones include the Helio G36 SoC, 6.52″ HD+ LCD screens, and 5,000 mAh batteries. They have depth sensors and 8MP main cameras on the back, and 5MP selfie cameras on the front.
