The Poco F5 India launch has been confirmed by Qualcomm, not Poco. The chipmaker took to Twitter to announce the forthcoming release of the Poco F5, and while we do not yet have a specific schedule, the announcement covers a key detail—the chipset choice. Qualcomm has announced that the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chipset would power the Poco F5.
In fact, the F5 is being marketed as India’s first smartphone to include the aforementioned processor. More information is awaited. According to rumours, the Poco F5 will be a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which was just released in China. The Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 is also used in the Note 12 Turbo. If the Poco F5 is actually the Redmi Note 12 Turbo with a few tweaks here and there, we can expect it to have a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
