Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi today 14th November 2022 (Today) (Monday) on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru He took to Twitter to express his best wishes, writing, “On the occasion of his birth anniversary, we pay tribute to our former Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Ji. We also remember his contributions to our country.”
Every year on November 14th, Children’s Day is observed as a tribute to India’s first Prime Minister. Nehru, affectionately known as ‘Chacha Nehru,’ was known for emphasising the importance of showing love and affection to children. Following Nehru’s death, it was unanimously decided to commemorate his birthday as ‘Bal Diwas,’ or Children’s Day, in India. Nehru was born on November 14, 1889, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. On May 27, 1964, he breathed his last.
