PM Garib Kalyan Yojana details announced by FM Sitharaman

PM Garib Kalyan Yojana – Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) for the poor to help them fight the battle against COVID-19 (Corona Virus) says Finance Minister Nirmla Sitharaman. Ministry of Finance India announces 1.70 Crore relief package under प्रधानमंत्री गरीब कल्याण योजना. Through relief fund benefit for health worker fighting COVID-19, 80 crore people will get 5 KG  wheat or rice and 1 KG of preferred pulses for free every month for the next three month, An Ex-gratia of Rs/-1,000 to 3 Crore poor senior citizen, poor widows and poor disabled, Government to front-load Rs 2,000 paid to farmers in the first week of April under existing PM Kisan Yojana to benefit 8.7 crore farmer.

Finance Minister announces PM Garib Kalyan Yojana Package Rs 1.70 Crore

The Union Finance & Corporation Affairs Minister Smt. Niramla Sitharaman on 26th March 2020 announced 1.70 Crore relief package under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. under this PMGKU Health workers fighting COVID-19 in Government Hospitals and Health Care Centers get 50 Lakh Insurance and Also, safai karmacharis, ward boys, nurses, ASHA, workers, paramedics, technicians, doctors and specialists, and other health workers would be covered by the special insurance scheme.

All government health centers, wellness centers and hospitals of centre as well states would be covered under this scheme approximately 22 lakh health workers would be provided insurance cover to fight this pandemic

Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana Benefits

80 Crore individuals would get free 5 kg wheat or rice and 1kg of preferred pulses for three months

8.7 crore farmers get the first installment Rs/-2000 due in 2020-21 under PM Kisan Yojana

A total of 20.40 crores PMJDY women account holders get Rs/-500 per month for the next 3 months

8 Crore poor families under PMGKY get gas cylinder for free of cost for the next 3 months

Under this PMGKY Package government proposes to pay 24% of their monthly wages into their PF accounts for the next three months
