PIB India COVID-19 Bulletin On COVID-19 16th April 2020 released

PIB India COVID-19 Bulletin released: India’s COVID-19 Count reaches 12380. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India released COVID-19 Bulletin on 16th April 2020 7:02 PM. As of today total cases reported is 12,380 and deaths 414 in the countrywide. As of now, 325 districts have not reported any case and 1489 persons have been cured/ discharged after recovery.

According to the report Caste Fatality Rate (CFR) of COVID-19 cases n India is 3.3%. The percentage of people recovered, so far is 12.02%. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a detailed guideline to all the states/ UTs on enabling delivery of essential health care services to meet unprecedented demands on the current healthcare system during the outbreak.

These services include maternal child health, prevention and management of communicable health diseases, treatment of chronic diseases to avoid complications and addressing emergencies.

It is also been advised that these services should be provided while ensuring safety for healthcare workers.

Health and Motor (Third Party) Insurance Policyholders allowed to make premium payments till May 15th

With a view to mitigate hardship to the policyholders whose health and motor (third party) insurance policies are due for renewal during COVID-19 lockdown, The central government issued notifications allowing such policyholders to make premium payments till May 15th. This will ensure a continued cover and hassle-free claims payment during the grace period.
