Omicron Tally Rises to 38 in India, First Omicron case reported from Kerala. Also Chandigarh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra reported one each omicron case. Veena George, Kerala Health Minister speaking with national media and said Omicron has been detected in a passenger who returned from U.K. Also health minister said all co-passengers have been informed & those who shared.
Veen George says the patient condition is stable & his primary contacts have been his wife and mother, both have tested positive as well and all three have been transferred to an isolation ward. Here it is the total count included cases identified on 12 Dec is 38 (Chandigarh is 1, Delhi 2, Rajasthan 9, Gujarat is 3, Maharashtra 18, Karnataka 3, Kerala 1, Andhra Pradesh 1).
