On August 18, India recorded an increase of 12,608 new Covid infections in one day, bringing the total number of infections to 4,42,98,864.For the past two days, Covid cases have been falling from the 10,000 mark, with 9,062 new infections were reported on August 17 and 8,813 on 16th August 2022. According to updated data from the Union Ministry of Health, active cases in the country fell to 01,01,343.
