IMD predicts a new heatwave with temperature rising by 2-3 degree celsius

Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha are expected to experience heatwave conditions, with the maximum temperature settling 5–6 degrees above average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). West Rajasthan will see heatwaves, and the high is anticipated to surpass 45 degrees Celsius.

The Met Department has also expected a new round of heatwaves for East India, particularly for Gangtic West Bengal, between May 15 and 16. Between May 15 and 17, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha are also expected to experience heatwaves.

IMD predicts an increase in maximum temperatures throughout the majority of the nation, with Central India expected to experience a rise of 2-4 degrees Celsius during the next two days. In South India, most areas are expected to experience a 2-4 degree increase in temperature over the course of the next 5 days, although East India’s maximum temperature is not anticipated to vary significantly.
