Govt Implements CLSS In Urban areas to provide interest subsidy says MOHUA

Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs says govt is implementing the CLSS to provide interest subsidy for housing loans to eligible beneficiaries in urban areas. Also MOHUA says total amount utilized under affordable housing fund for the years 2018-19 and 2019-20 is Rs 12,583 crore

Also Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs mention state/ UT wise details of beneficiaries during the last three years (2017-18, 2018-2019 and 2019-20) under Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojan (Urba).

Through press released MOHUA intimated Pursuant to the announcement in the Union Budget 2018-19, Affordable Housing Fund (AHF) set up in National Housing Bank with a corpus of Rs. 10,000 crores to provide re-finance assistance to Primary Lending Institutions (PLIs) in respect of their individual housing loans to target segments in rural and urban areas.

Also, This was followed by Rs. 10,000 crore allocation in 2019-20. The total amount utilized under AHF for the years 2018-19 and 2019-20 is Rs. 12,583crores. The purpose of AHF is to improve credit availability for meeting the housing needs of the people in lower income segments.
